I need tips on how to relax when I hear a drill at the dentists office. It really freaks me out. Can anyone help?
I'm right there with you! Check out the link below. Did some research and found a dentist that uses a last drill...amazing. Not only is that terrible sound gone, but the amount of pain is totally reduced! Good luck!
I always encourage patient to bring music to the appointment from their phone or some other device. We'll provide the earphones. This seems to help a lot.
My dentist has a TV Monitor and I can choose what to watch. With headphones, that really helps tune out sounds. I also had a Dental Assistant use the suction tool to blow out cool clean air on my inner forearm and that helps you stay calm. Some dentists have therapy dogs to help patients relax.
